Medication Safety & Supply Chain Integrity section addresses the protection of the public from medication-related harm. It covers the surveillance of Drug-Induced Diseases and Pharmacovigilance, which involves the detection, assessment, and prevention of Adverse Drug Reactions (ADRs) in the population. Furthermore, it tackles the societal menace of Drug Abuse and the critical public health threat posed by Fake, Counterfeit, Substandard, Falsified, and Diverted medicines. Interns must understand their role in securing the supply chain and monitoring drug safety.
