Health Promotion & Education

Health Promotion & Education section establishes the theoretical foundation of public health. Interns are expected to understand the “Concept & determinants of health,” recognizing that health is influenced by social, economic, and environmental factors. The syllabus emphasizes the role of the pharmacist in Health Promotion, specifically using Health Screening (e.g., blood pressure or blood sugar checks) as a tool to identify risks and initiate health promotion interventions. It also covers Health Education, requiring interns to be competent in delivering educational themes to the public to prevent disease.
